A Kick streamer, known as DBR666, has responded to the backlash following their inappropriate behavior at TwitchCon, asserting their individual stance while also announcing their ban from the platform.
At TwitchCon San Diego, DBR666 sparked controversy by kissing and licking Twitch broadcasters Nmplol and Wake Wilder live on the convention floor.
Additionally, they directed several suggestive comments at streaming sensation xQc and followed him as he distanced himself, referring to them as a “weirdo” in an apparent attempt to escape the uncomfortable interaction.
While DBR666 was forcibly removed from TwitchCon and banned from attending, their actions triggered significant backlash not only against them but also against other Kick streamers exhibiting negative behavior during the event.
On September 23, DBR666 took to Twitter to address the situation, revealing their ban from Kick as a result of their actions.
“I am an individual,” they emphasized in all caps. “My actions, right or wrong, do not represent Kick. If I acted the same way on any other platform, I would simply be labeled as just a ‘streamer.’”
“I have been banned off Kick, and I commit to being better whenever I return to social media,” they added.

DBR666 continued to note that there are “many wholesome lovely streamers on Kick,” stating that “everyone is quick to blame Kick for the actions of a few.”
Kick’s CEO, Eddie Craven, echoed this sentiment, stating that “the actions of a few individuals do not define the broader platform.”

Nevertheless, the comments from both DBR666 and Craven haven’t sufficed for some viewers. Following the offending streamers’ bans, figures like xQc are advocating for “real repercussions” for broadcasters who engage in such misconduct at live events.
DBR666 wasn’t alone in instigating outrage; another Kick streamer allegedly shoved a broadcaster into a moving train during a dispute, and yet another got into a physical altercation with Twitch star Erobb after publicly accusing him of infidelity.
