On August 26, Kim Do-yeon provided an update on her experience studying abroad in the UK through her channel. She shared photos with the caption, “It’s been a long time since I’ve been to school.”The images depicted her devouring a burger and sipping coffee on her commute to school, studying an English script, and exiting her residence, offering a glimpse into her everyday life as a student.
Fans commented, suggesting that she might be studying acting abroad, with messages like “Looks like she’s pursuing acting”, “Is acting a new challenge for you?”, and “We wish you all the best in this new chapter.”This led to speculation that she may have gone abroad to study acting.
Most recently, Kim Do-yeon completed filming for her upcoming movies Amoeba Girls and School Ghost Story. The film received the prestigious “Bucheon Discovery of the Year”award at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, further heightening anticipation for Kim Do-yeon’s portrayal.
In addition, Kim posted a photo of trees against a clear sky and reflected, “I can’t believe it’s been two months since I arrived in London. Time really flies.”She has been residing in London for the past two months, presumably getting ready for the upcoming academic semester.
Kim Do-yeon first rose to prominence when she placed 8th on Mnet’s Produce 101 in 2016, earning her a spot in the final lineup of I.O.I. She then spent a year with I.O.I before making her debut in 2017 as part of the group Weki Meki, alongside fellow member Choi Yoo-jung. Together, they released popular songs such as “I Don’t Like Your Girlfriend,””La La La,”and “Siesta.”However, after seven successful years, Weki Meki ultimately disbanded after their final activities on August 8.
Despite facing multiple dating rumors with actor Gong Myung, Kim Do-yeon’s agency has consistently denied the claims and maintained that she and Gong Myung are simply close colleagues.
