In the July 11th episode of “Whatcha Up To,”the 8th installment of tvN’s entertainment program, the cast members Kim Hee-sun, Lee Soo-geun, Lee Eun-ji, and The Boyz’s Younghoon had their final gathering.
In the episode, Lee Soo-geun stated, “Parents have a deep understanding of their children just by observing them. They can tell if their child is capable of holding a pen or not. It is pointless to pressure a child who is not ready for studying.”He also mentioned, “Parents have a strong influence on their children. My son takes after me in working out and singing. That’s why I didn’t have to travel far to Seocho-dong.”Turning to Kim Hee-sun, he added, “I assume it’s the same for you. That’s why you decided to send your daughter abroad.”
“I’ve been to Daechi-dong 16 times in a single day due to my daughter’s education,”Kim explained. “With a round trip of eight times, it adds up to a total of 16 times,”she recalled.
Kim Hee-sun responded to Lee Soo-geun’s question about whether she would support her daughter if she wanted to pursue acting by saying that her daughter had previously expressed interest in becoming a YouTuber. However, she has since made a clear decision and is now focused on a career in biology.
Despite Lee Soo-geun’s statement, he believes that parents cannot fully understand their children’s determination, as their thoughts and goals are constantly evolving. He shares that his own son once expressed his desire to become a Tkatchev athlete and even attends auditions on his own.
