On May 28th, Kim Hye-yoon expressed her emotions through her agency Artist Company. She shared, “I have had the pleasure of portraying Sol for four seasons. It has been such a joyous experience with many fond memories. Although it is bittersweet to say goodbye, I am grateful for everyone who has shown love for Sol. She will forever hold a special place in my heart.”
As she expressed, “It was truly an honor for me to portray Sol, a vibrant and uplifting character who embodies the phrase ‘an iron hand in a velvet glove’. Through my portrayal of Sol, I gained valuable insights not just as an actress, but also as Kim Hye-yoon.”
Kim Hye-yoon then thanked the viewers who have supported and enjoyed ‘Lovely Runner’ so far, as well as those who have shown love for Im Sol. She also expressed her appreciation and promised to return with a variety of roles in the future. She asked for their continued support and patience until then.
Kim Hye-yoon fully embodies the character of Im Sol in “Lovely Runner”. Im Sol travels back to 2008 in order to rescue her beloved idol Ryu Seon-jae (Byun Woo-seok), who had inspired her to keep going when she was on the brink of giving up on life. With her impressive range as an actress, Kim Hye-yoon convincingly portrays Im Sol, delivering powerful and nuanced expressions and emotions throughout the film. This is a major factor in the success of “Lovely Runner”, accounting for 70% of its achievements.
Kim Hye-yoon’s acting in emotional scenes, especially her portrayal of crying, was highly praised. She was able to evoke various emotions from the audience, from frustration and pain to resentment and guilt, as she witnessed Ryu Seon-jae’s death. Her performance made viewers shed tears alongside her.
