During her fan meeting in Taiwan on August 24th, Kim Hye-yoon was pleasantly surprised and burst into laughter while watching a video of congratulatory messages from fellow celebrities.
Kim Hye-yoon, who became known as the “new Hallyu goddess”after her appearance on tvN’s “Lovely Runner”in the first half of 2024, is currently on her Asian fan meeting tour. During her fan meeting in Taiwan, the male lead of “Lovely Runner”, Byun Woo-seok, made a surprise appearance.
In a previous variety show where they both appeared, the duo exhibited a delightful chemistry, receiving enthusiastic support from fans of the show.
At the event, Byun Woo-seok introduced himself as an actor and expressed his excitement to be present at Hye-yoon’s fan meeting. He acknowledged the anticipation of fans for the event and extended his support for the meeting between Hye-yoon and her fans. He concluded by congratulating everyone and wishing for a successful and enjoyable fan meeting.
Kim Hye-yoon was taken aback and couldn’t contain her laughter when Byun Woo-seok made an unplanned appearance in a video message. She appeared flustered, continuously fidgeting and attempting to control her smile. At one point, she even playfully tried to sneak a glimpse at the cue sheet of the local host. The fans in attendance were equally surprised and erupted into loud cheers for Byun Woo-seok’s unexpected appearance, showing their warm support for Kim Hye-yoon’s reaction.
Upon viewing Byun Woo-seok’s video, Kim Hye-yoon blushed and expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am extremely thankful, Woo-seok oppa, for your efforts in making this possible for me. As you mentioned, I will make an effort to fully enjoy this time with my fans. It means a lot to me… That’s all I can say,”she added with a shy smile.
She also brought up the surprise video and stated, “I truly had no idea. It caught me off guard and I was taken aback; I hope you can sympathize.”
Prior to Byun Woo-seok, Jung Hae-in, who is also known for his role in “Snowdrop”, made a special appearance at Kim Hye-yoon’s fan meeting to personally congratulate her. Jung Hae-in expressed, “I know many fans have been eagerly anticipating Hye-yoon’s fan meeting, so I hope today is a day filled with joy. Let’s continue to show our love and support for our Princess Mamell Hye-yoon. Hye-yoon fighting!”
During her recent fan meeting in Osaka, Japan, Kim Hye-yoon received video messages of encouragement from various people, including Yum Jung-ah, a fellow artist from her agency, Jisoo from BLACKPINK who stars in JTBC’s “Snowdrop”, and Rowoon, her close friend and co-star in MBC’s “Extraordinary You”.
Currently, Kim Hye-yoon has successfully completed her “Lovely Runner” project and is finishing her Asian tour. According to her agency, they are currently in the process of considering a proposal for her upcoming project, “I’m Human From Today” .
