Kim Hyun-joong’s Transition to Farming: How Heavy Rain Affected His Journey

On July 24th, the YouTube channel “Kim Hyun-joong” uploaded a video titled “I’m Doing Well… Maybe? (EP.16 No Solid Answers)” .

The recently released video depicts Kim Hyun-joong working on the damaged cornfield with the help of the village head, following the heavy rainfall during the season. Observing the village head driving stakes into the ground, Kim Hyun-joong exclaimed, “This method will prevent the corn from falling over.”He also expressed remorse, saying, “If only I had done this earlier, the corn wouldn’t have died.”

After completing the repairs on the corn, Kim Hyun-joong exclaimed, “We’ve successfully finished everything. We even planted a new tomato plant. Once they have fully grown, I plan on making tomato sauce and topping it on the corn.”He went on to say, “In fact, I have a big idea in mind. As for the village head’s corn, I now have a half share in it.”

In addition, Kim Hyun-joong paid a visit to his friend’s restaurant where he shared, “The corn is now fully grown and we wanted to prepare a special dish to offer to our fans. Luckily, my friend has come up with a new corn recipe, which is why we are currently at his restaurant.”

He persisted, “They have Haejangguk available at this restaurant. Then, I inquired directly, ‘Are you able to offer a corn-based dish at your establishment?’ As a result, they created a special dish called ‘Korean beef corn cheese pancake’. Since I am able to provide the corn, it made sense. By supplying all of this corn, I hope my supporters will come here and try the corn that I personally grew.”

In the past year, Kim Hyun-joong tied the knot with a woman who is two years his junior and also became a father. He recently disclosed that he is currently engaged in farming on a plot of land he purchased in 2007, following a recommendation.
