The latest upload on Joo Woo-jae’s YouTube channel features a video titled “Stop bothering my brother!”, in which he meets with Kim Jae-joong and engages in a conversation about various topics.
In reference to his time as a member of TVXQ, Kim Jae-joong remarked that the schedules of idols have become increasingly demanding.
Kim Jae-joong shared that he frequently enjoys his own company while drinking and eating at home. He explained that cooking at home helps him unwind after a long day, and he finds ordering food to be too extravagant. Joo Woo-jae then jokingly asked if he was wealthy, to which Kim Jae-joong replied that saving money is the key to a good life.
Joo Woo-jae noted, “While saving money can certainly lead to a better quality of life, there is a noticeable price gap between cooking at home and ordering delivery. However, cooking at home is not always a budget-friendly option either.”Kim Jae-joong chimed in, “Speaking of costs, how much would it cost for two servings of tteokbokki? With just 10,000 won, I can easily make enough tteokbokki for ten people.”
He persisted, stating that at the market, just a short distance from the mill, there were affordable hard rice cakes that could be purchased for a few thousand won. He also mentioned that adding a few fish cakes, about 4 or 5 slices, would only cost 1000 won. He emphasized that making tteokbokki was a quick process, taking less than 10 minutes. However, he also pointed out that washing the dishes afterwards would only take a few minutes, but ordering them would result in creating more trash and having to sort through it. He added that this was not good for the environment, leaving Joo Woo-jae at a loss for words.
Kim Jae-joong, who has previously demonstrated his culinary abilities on multiple shows, revealed, “I am skilled in cooking, particularly when it comes to Korean cuisine. I am capable of preparing any traditional Korean dish, including Galbijjim, although it may require some time. I am also able to make tteokgalbi.”
Joo Woo-jae expressed his frustration, stating, “I feel like the induction cookers on my stove are just burdens when I’m at home.”In response, Kim Jae-joong offered, “Why don’t you give me the stove then? It’s detachable, isn’t it? I don’t have a stove at home and installing gas seems like a waste of money.”Joo Woo-jae acknowledged, “But people like you still need to use it. It also contributes to the economy.”Kim Jae-joong retorted, “I pay taxes too.”
As Joo Woo-jae mentioned rumors about Kim Jae-joong’s supposed wealth, the latter quickly responded, saying, “Wait a minute, let me clarify. The amusing thing is, if you were to count all the cars I’ve owned in the past 20 years, they would all be included in that amount.
