On the same day, the YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute (Gaseyeon) discussed the photo, raising significant concerns. They stated, “Criminal trash Kim Soo-hyun needs to explain this photo as well. Uploaded on June 23, 2017, when Kim Sae-ron was just a freshman in high school and still a minor, this photograph is concerning, particularly as they appear to be in winter attire, suggesting it was taken even earlier, possibly when she was still in middle school.”

Details Emerge from Fan Accounts

Gaseyeon noted, “The image was sourced from a fan account of Kim Sae-ron located overseas, which also shares multiple videos of her departing her residence with family. The photo was taken at the apartment where Kim Sae-ron resided with her family, a fact verified by her remaining family members.”

They further revealed, “Kim Soo-hyun reportedly frequented that apartment, allegedly meeting Kim Sae-ron secretly when her family was unavailable. Despite her being a minor and her family’s objections to their relationship due to the significant age difference, Kim Soo-hyun’s visits continued.”

They also highlighted the distinctive red puffer jacket worn by the man in the photo, suggesting, “That red puffer jacket looks familiar, doesn’t it? It appears to be the same one Kim Soo-hyun was seen in previously, paired with a JDC cap.”

Confirmation from Kim Sae-ron’s Family

In a subsequent live broadcast, Gaseyeon reiterated the claims, revealing that “Kim Sae-ron’s family confirmed that the man in the image is indeed Kim Soo-hyun. During her middle and high school years, while living with her family, she had private visits from Kim Soo-hyun when her parents were away.”

Tragically, Kim Sae-ron was found deceased in her home located in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, at approximately 4:45 PM on February 16, which coincidentally was Kim Soo-hyun’s birthday. She was just 25 years old.
