The Baeksang Arts Awards will be held at COEX D Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul at 5 p.m. on May 7th.
The voting for the Prizm Popularity Award at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards started on April 25th through the Baeksang Arts Awards website and Prizm app.
Among the nominees for the Popularity Award in the TV and Film categories, there were 35 male and 31 female stars. The winners were chosen based on the most votes received, with one male and one female star ultimately being selected. The voting closed at 2 p.m. on May 4th and it was announced that the Popularity Award would be given to Kim Soo-hyun and IVE’s Ahn Yu-jin.
Kim Soo-hyun, the star of tvN’s popular drama “Queen of Tears”, earned 5,624,530 votes. Ahn Yu-jin from IVE, a member of the variety show “Earth Arcade”, was the top contender in the female category with 1,258,838 votes.
After Kim Soo-hyun, the runner-up in the male category was Kim Seon-ho, also known as “The Childe.”In the female category, “Exhuma”Kim Go-eun took second place.
At the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards, Kim Soo-hyun and Ahn Yu-jin were presented with the Popularity Award. All eyes were on Kim Soo-hyun, as it was his first appearance at the Baeksang Awards in three years.
The 60th Baeksang Arts Awards is being broadcasted live on JTBC, JTBC2, JTBC4, and Prizm simultaneously. The hosts are Shin Dong-yeop, Suzy, and Park Bo-gum.
