Kim Soo-hyun Responds to Allegations of Forcing Sulli into Nude Scenes

On March 28, the agency representing Kim Soo-hyun, Gold Medalist, addressed the rising controversy surrounding the late Sulli. The agency’s statement to the media outlet iMBC Entertainment included the note, “We are in the process of confirming the situation.”

Earlier that day, Mr. A, Sulli’s older brother, conveyed his sentiments to Sports Kyunghyang, stating, “We have spent the past six years in deep sorrow and tears.” He called for explanations from Kim Soo-hyun’s camp regarding three pressing issues:

  1. Why a bed scene, which was not part of the original script, was unexpectedly introduced during the filming of “Real” (2017).
  2. The absence of a body double, even though it was reported that one was available on set.
  3. The misleading information suggesting that the body double was absent due to illness, contradicted by eyewitness accounts of her presence at the filming location.

Mr. A further asserted, “While I heard various murmurs at Sulli’s funeral, I am simply requesting straightforward answers to these questions.”

Lee Sa-rang

Real” is a film that was directed by Lee Sa-rang (also known as Lee Ro-be), who is Kim Soo-hyun’s cousin and co-founder of Gold Medalist. Upon its release in 2017, the film faced backlash regarding its quality and the inclusion of excessive nude scenes, particularly those featuring Sulli.

Furthermore, as reported by Sulli’s family, “Real” took a toll on her mental health, leading her to pledge never to act in another film and to seek psychiatric help.
