Kim Tae-ri Shares Experience at WJSN Concert: “I Was Prevented from Taking Photos”

In the web entertainment show “Salon Drip 2,” which premiered on October 1, Kim Tae-ri and Shin Ye-eun, who are the lead stars of the anticipated tvN drama “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born,” made a special appearance as guests.

Jang Do-yeon initiated the discussion by referencing numerous sightings of Kim Tae-ri, stating, “I heard you were stopped at the WJSN concert due to your enthusiastic cheering.” Kim Tae-ri reminisced about her attendance at the concert to support WJSN member Bona (Kim Ji-yeon), a friend she made during the filming of the drama “Twenty-Five Twenty-One.” She humorously noted, “They advised me not to take photos at the concert.”

When Jang Do-yeon inquired, “What kind of disturbance did you create?” Kim Tae-ri elaborated, “I expected a lively atmosphere since it was an idol concert. However, it turned out to be quite calm, and I found myself sitting still, thinking, ‘What’s happening?’ When the music started, I got carried away and began jumping around, but I was told to stop,” which brought laughter to the conversation.

In response to Jang Do-yeon’s question about whether she thought it would resemble Psy’s Summer Swag performance, Kim Tae-ri replied, “Not exactly, but I assumed I could stand up if I wanted to. There are times when I’m really energetic, and other times I’m not at all,” showcasing her charming personality.

Meanwhile, “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born”is set in the post-Korean War era of the 1950s. It depicts the life of Jeongnyeon (played by Kim Tae-ri), a “naturally gifted sound genius,”as she navigates competition, friendship, and a remarkable coming-of-age journey in her quest to become the finest national opera actor. The show is slated to premiere on October 12.
