Kinema Citrus confirms Goodbye, Lara and Ninja Skooler original anime with PV and visual

On Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Anime Central convention, Kinema Citrus, the anime production studio, revealed their plans for two new original anime projects, Goodbye, Lara and Ninja Skooler. These projects were announced in celebration of the studio’s 15th anniversary.

The studio has not only verified the production, but also revealed concept trailers or PVs and visuals for the upcoming Goodbye, Lara, and Ninja Skooler anime. They have also announced the directors and other staff members involved in these two original anime.

Kinema Citrus’ Goodbye Lara and Ninja Skooler Original Anime Commemorate the Studio’s 15th Anniversary

During Anime Central’s 2024 convention, a special panel was dedicated to the renowned anime studio, Kinema Citrus, on Saturday, May 18, 2024. At the event, the studio announced two original anime projects, titled Goodbye, Lara, and Ninja Skooler, in celebration of its 15th anniversary as a production company.

After the announcement, Kinema Citrus launched dedicated websites for the two anime projects, showcasing concept trailers and staff information. The visuals highlight key characters from each series, while the PV offers a sneak peek into the plot.

The PV and staff for the Goodbye, Lara anime

The PV for the Goodbye, Lara anime tells the tale of a mermaid who longs for the love of a human, much like the protagonist in Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Mermaid. After her passing, the mermaid is reborn 200 years later in Japan’s Lake Biwa, where she must adapt to life in the human world.

Kinema Citrus has announced that the series will be directed by Takushi Koide, with Shiori Tani serving as the character designer and animation director. The music will be composed by Alfredo Sirica, while HIromitsu Ijima will take on the role of music producer and director.

Muneki Ogasawara has been added to the anime’s team as the producer, along with Kazuto Izumita who will serve as the compositing director of photography. The list of key animators includes Seiichi Akitake, Hotaru Kawase, Toshiyuki Sato, Hikaru Sato, Asuka Kozato, Jura Takasemaru, and several others.

In addition, Naoki Yoshibe has been hired as the water effect artist, along with Yuto Hama and Mai Yamaguchi as the graphic designers. Shiori Tani and Mon have been brought on as the image board artists. Misao Yamashita is playing multiple roles on this fantasy anime, serving as the color key artist, coordinator, and checker.

The PV and staff for the Ninja Skooler anime

In addition to Goodbye, Lara, Kinema Citrus has also released a pilot video and a visual for their new original ninja comedy anime, Ninja Skooler. The story follows a group of ninjas living in an alternate Edo period and showcases their mischievous antics.

The PV is notable for illustrating the movements of the key characters and highlighting the smooth animation. Director Shunsuke Takarai is leading the production of this anime, with character designing by Hami.

Additional staff members for the Ninja Skooler anime have been announced. Muneki Ogasawara and Satoshi Wada will serve as the animation producers, with Yuka Kuroda, Shunsuke Takarai, and Franziska van Wulfen joining as key animators.

Hiroaki Kaguchi serves as the color key artist, checker, and coordinator for this ninja comedy anime. Haru Yamada is credited as the sound director, while Nanatsukaze is responsible for the music. Additionally, Toru Noguchi has been added to the sound effects team.

Further information about the Goodbye, Lara, and the Ninja Skooler anime, including the release date and cast, will be announced at a later time. Currently, both projects are in production, as confirmed by the pilot videos.
