According to leaks, Kinich is an upcoming Dendro unit in Genshin Impact that is scheduled to be released in Version 5.0.

Through the July 15 drip marketing, HoYoverse has officially announced the addition of two new 5-star units in Version 5.0: Hyder unit Mualani and Dendro unit Kinich.

Leaks have also begun to emerge with more details on these characters, such as their equipment, constellations, and weapons. Kinich has especially caught the eye of many fans, as he has the potential to be the next powerful Dendro DPS following in the footsteps of Alhaitham, who was introduced nearly two years ago.

Does Kinich have a release date?

Kinich does not have a release date in Genshin Impact at the moment. However, it has been confirmed that he will be available in the upcoming Version 5.0 update. Based on Genshin’s 6-week content cycle, this update is projected to be released on August 28, 2024.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the specific banner rotation, leaker Dimbreath has suggested that Kinich may be included in Phase 2, which is expected to be released in late September 2024.

Kinich Weapon and Element

According to leaks, Kinich is expected to be introduced as a Dendro character in Genshin Impact, much like Tighnari. Leakers also suggest that he will wield a Claymore, following in the footsteps of Navia.

Basic Attack- Nightsun Style

When the current active character is sprinting, in movement states that result from specific Talents, or a certain height in the air, switching to Kinich will trigger the following: Kinich will fire a grappling hook and swing. Kinich will prioritize valid Coilgrass Sigils as grapple targets. He can use Nightsoul Transmission once every 10s.When interacting with Coilgrass Sigils and other items that can interact with Yumkasaurs, “Canopy Hunter: Riding High” will be converted to “Yumkasaur Mimesis,” which causes interactions with such items to follow rules applicable to Yumkasaurs, and which will not put Canopy Hunter: Riding High on CD.
The Price of Desolation When in Nightsoul’s Blessing, opponents hit by Kinich’s Elemental Skill DMG will enter the Desolation state, and when affected by Burning or Burgeon reaction DMG, they will restore 7 Nightsoul points to him. Nightsoul points can be gained this way once every 0.8 seconds. The Desolation state will persist until this instance of Kinich’s Nightsoul’s Blessing ends.
Flame Spirit Pact When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, Kinich will gain 1 stack of Hunter’s Experience that lasts 15 seconds, max 2 stacks. When Kinich uses Canopy Hunter: Riding High’s Scalespiker Cannon, all stacks will be consumed, with each stack increasing the DMG dealt by this Cannon shot by 320% of Kinich’s ATK.

Kinich Constellations

According to the leakers, Kinich’s constellations have this to say.

  • At Level 1, Kinich’s Movement SPD will increase by 20% for 5 seconds after landing from Canopy Hunter: Riding High’s mid-air swing. Furthermore, the CRIT DMG of Scalespiker Cannon is increased by 90%.
  • Level 2 – Tiger Beetle’s Palm: Upon hitting opponents, Kinich’s Elemental Skill reduces their Dendro RES by 30% for 6 seconds. Furthermore, the first Scalespiker Cannon fired by Kinich during Nightsoul’s Blessing has an increased AoE and deals 100% more DMG.
  • The Protosuchian’s Claw, at Level 3, will raise the Level of Canopy Hunter: Riding High by 3. The maximum upgrade level for this skill is 15.
  • At Level 4, Kinich’s Nightsoul’s Blessing will restore 5 Energy each time he uses his loop shots or unleashes the Scalespiker Cannon. This energy regeneration can occur once every 2.8 seconds.
  • At Level 5, the Howler Monkey’s Tail increases the level of the Almighty Dragonlord’s Hail by 3, with a maximum upgrade level of 15.
  • At Level 6, the Auspicious Beast’s Shape ability causes the Scalespiker Cannon to bounce between opponents after hitting them, inflicting 600% of Kinich’s ATK as Dendro DMG with each bounce.
