The first episode of the Kinnikuman Perfect Origin arc opens with the narrator providing an explanation about the Chojin’s origins. According to the narrator, these individuals have been bestowed with extraordinary abilities and strength by the gods.

While the majority of them, such as Kinnikuman, have served for good, there are a select few who have aligned with evil. The anime has beautifully portrayed some of the most memorable scenes from the original series.

Next, the focus shifts to Terryman, who engages in a conversation with Meat Alexandria regarding his new role as Earth’s representative for Kinnikuman. This responsibility was bestowed upon Terryman due to Meat Alexandria’s recent ascension as the king of his own planet. As a result, Terryman successfully negotiates a peace treaty among the three Chojin factions, including Ashuraman and Neptuneman.

The remaining Chojin heroes were spending time with children when the Perfect Large Numbers suddenly emerged. These Perfect Chojin supremacists aimed to cause chaos and defeat Geronimo and the remaining Chojin heroes. However, with Ramenman and Robin Mask still recovering from the previous arc in the original series, Terryman stepped in as the sole defender, ending the episode with an intense cliffhanger.

Despite the possibility that viewers who watched episode 0 may find the first few minutes of Kinnikuman Perfect Origin arc episode 1 repetitive due to the recap of previous arcs, it is understandable considering the long time since the original manga was adapted into an animated series.

Overall, the introduction to the series was solid, but it may not be the most newcomer-friendly. This adaptation seems to cater towards long-time fans of the story, as newcomers may not be familiar with characters like Terryman or Robin Mask, which could be a hurdle for some viewers.

From the viewpoint of someone well-versed in the franchise and its storyline, the adaptation was highly satisfying. It effectively establishes the conflict with the Perfect Large Numbers in a concise and comprehensible way, leaving the defeat of the Chojin heroes as a surprising and crushing blow. This immediately garners support for Terryman as he enters the battlefield.

Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc: Episode 1 – Reviewing the Production, Animation, Soundtracks, and Voice Acting

Despite having to replace a very iconic voice cast, the voice acting in the episode is still of very high quality. While there may not be many standout fighting moments to adapt from, Production I.G. does an excellent job of capturing the essence of the series through visually stunning and captivating scenes.

The fandom has also praised the soundtrack, and it is evident why. The music is vibrant and effectively captures the tone and atmosphere of each scene in the Kinnikuman Perfect Origin arc. Additionally, the animation remains consistently impressive, particularly in its portrayal of the menacing Perfect Large Numbers in episode 1.
