The second episode of the Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc is scheduled to air on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 11:30 pm JST. The latest episode aimed to jog people’s memory about Kinnikuman’s adventures in the original manga and also highlighted the current state of peace in the world. This was made possible by the three factions of Chojins coming together to sign a treaty ensuring that this peace is maintained.

Despite the strength of the Perfect Chojins, they were ultimately no match for the even more powerful Perfect Large Numbers that suddenly appeared on Earth. Geronimo and the other heroes were swiftly defeated, leaving only Terryman standing as Kinnikuman was away fulfilling his duties as royalty on his home planet.

As a direct sequel to the original Kinnikuman series from the 70s and 80s, this adaptation is based on the 2011 manga. This makes episode 0 a great tool for introducing newcomers to the franchise and its premise.

International fans will also be able to view Episode 2 of the Kinnikuman Perfect Origin arc with English subtitles through their Netflix account. A subscription fee is necessary to access this streaming service.

Recap of the previous episode

The opening of the episode was dedicated to familiarizing unfamiliar viewers with the concept of the Chojin and recounting the heroic deeds of Kinnikuman and his companions, the Chojin Idols, who had saved the world multiple times. With Kinnikuman, also called Suguru, now back on his home planet to fulfill his duties as the newly crowned king, he appointed his friend Terryman as his representative on Earth.

Although the initial moments of the episode centered on highlighting key storylines from the manga, a significant development was the signing of a peace treaty among three factions of the Chojin race to prevent further conflicts. However, this progress was short-lived as a newly formed group of Perfect Chojin, known as the Perfect Large Numbers, intervened and refused to abide by the treaty.

The Chojin quickly defeated many of the heroes who were present, as Robin Mask and Ramenman, two of the strongest fighters, were still recovering from previous fights. However, Terryman bravely fought on as the last man standing, creating one of the most memorable moments of the episode.
