Despite sharing the role of deuteragonist with her father in Boruto, Sarada Uchiha’s character has largely been portrayed as a supporting one, often relying on the protagonist for assistance. This approach by the author could potentially prove problematic in the future if they continue to depict her as such, seemingly making her solely dependent on the protagonist.
Despite being overshadowed by the protagonist, it is important to remember that the Uchiha child’s ultimate goal is to become the Hokage and bring peace to their village. However, their journey may be hindered by the ongoing conflict with Kawaki, one of the village’s biggest issues. If Kishimoto portrays the Uchiha child as a minor character, it may diminish their potential for achieving their dreams in the future.

Boruto: Examining the Potential Impact of Sarada’s Character Development on Her Future Ambitions
Sarada Uchiha, the daughter of Sasuke Uchiha, is one of the deuteragonists in the series. She was first introduced alongside the protagonist and joined modern-day team 7 with their mentor Konohamaru. Following the Momoshiki incident, Sarada disclosed her desire to become the Hokage, showcasing her determination to achieve her goals.
Despite having ambitious aspirations for her future, the Uchiha child’s character development only reached that of a supporting character. In the Naruto Next Generation, she possessed the potential to become one of the most formidable characters in the series, thanks to her expertise in hand-to-hand combat and possession of the Sharingan Doujutsu.
Despite being given a spotlight in various cases, the source material of the manga series never gave her the spotlight she deserved, leaving her as a helpless girl who constantly relied on the protagonist or her father due to various situations.
Despite a significant time skip in the Two Blue Vortex series, Sarada’s fighting abilities remained unchanged. The next installment saw the introduction of Code, who saw potential in using the Uchiha child as bait to draw out the protagonist and nearly succeeded.
After Jura and Hidari successfully infiltrated the village, Hidari targeted the Uchiha child and revealed his intentions of devouring her. Despite Sarada’s newly awakened Mangekyou Sharingan, she was no match for the enemy. Luckily, the hero arrived just in time to prevent her from facing possible death.
Despite Masashi Kishimoto’s intention to develop the Uchiha child’s character, it could potentially hinder her dream of becoming the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. By neglecting her responsibilities as a leader, the Uchiha child may miss out on opportunities to address important matters before officially assuming the role of Hokage.
Initially, her first priority would be to address the ongoing conflicts that were causing harm to the village, specifically the major one between Kawaki and the protagonist. Despite potentially having weaker fighting abilities compared to both of them, she must still find a way to resolve the conflict in order to attain the esteemed title of Hokage.
Additionally, it would be crucial for her to rescue her father, who was previously turned into a chakra tree, before it becomes too late. Nevertheless, her current role as a supporting character in Boruto may impede her future aspirations.
