Kishimoto’s Recurring Theme of the Naruto-Kurama Symbiotic Relationship in Boruto Could Be Detrimental to the Series

Over the past few months, the Boruto series has been steadily advancing. Despite the monthly release of new manga chapters, the series has been well-received by netizens. This gives them ample time to revisit older chapters and continue enjoying the series.

Fans have recently drawn comparisons between the current state of the manga and certain aspects of Masashi Kishimoto’s original series. One recurring topic of discussion among fans while reading the recent chapters of the manga was the relationship between Kurama and Naruto.

The two mentioned characters shared a symbiotic bond. Nevertheless, there are concerns among fans that the same scenario could occur between Boruto and Momoshiki. If Masashi Kishimoto handles these characters similarly, it could greatly impact the overall perception of the series.

Please note: This article includes major spoilers from the manga chapters of Two Blue Vortex.

Boruto: Why the Protagonist’s Symbiotic Relationship Should Not Be Similar to the One Shared by Naruto and Kurama

To refresh our memories, it is necessary to revisit the original series and gain an understanding of Naruto’s relationship with Kurama. As the Nine-Tail Jinchuriki, he was shunned by the entire village.

While Kurama was feared for his destructive abilities and was not known for being friendly, this was the main reason for the initial tension in Naruto and Kurama’s relationship. Kurama strongly disliked being sealed inside Naruto, causing further strain between the two. However, as the series continued, Naruto was able to break through to Kurama and gain his trust.

As time went on, they became a formidable pair, capable of standing up against powerful adversaries like Kaguya Ubuyashiki. The evolution of their bond was a standout element in the series. However, for the continuation of the story, it would be advantageous if Masashi Kishimoto did not repeat the same dynamic between Boruto and Momoshiki.

A significant parallel between the sequel series and Momoshiki is the symbiotic relationship between the protagonist and Momoshiki. This aspect was not revealed until a recent chapter of Two Blue Vortex, which provided clues about the nature of their connection.

After defeating Kawaki in a single move, the protagonist was immediately forced to retreat. In response to Kawaki activating his Karma Mode, the protagonist also activated his own Karma Mode and was thus forced to retreat.

It would not be wise to have Momoshiki and Boruto collaborate. Doing so in their current circumstances would undermine the manga’s portrayal of Momoshiki as a formidable antagonist in the series.

Fans would undoubtedly desire for this character to be the primary antagonist of the show. Certain fictional characters are inherently deceitful and cannot have redeeming moments, and Momoshiki falls into this category.

The readers would prefer Momoshiki not to join forces with the protagonist in the series and develop a bond like the one between Naruto and Kurama. This could potentially harm the series and undo all the progress that Two Blue Vortex has accomplished.

Keep an eye out for further updates on anime and manga news throughout the year 2024.
