Koji Kashin’s New Power in Boruto May Fall into Kawaki’s Hands, and Explain the Opening Flashforward Likewise

The thirteenth chapter of Boruto Two Blue Vortex, which was released on August 21, 2024, has caused quite a stir among fans with the introduction of Kashin Koji’s Ten Directions shinjutsu and the possibility of multiple universes in the series. Despite the concept of possible future timelines being introduced through Koji’s future sight, it all ultimately connects to the opening scene of the series where the main protagonist and Kawaki are seen engaged in a fierce battle.

After the reveal of Koji’s role in the series, the protagonist’s words suddenly had much more clarity. Despite this, Kawaki’s words still held an air of mystery, especially given Koji’s opposition to him in the series. It was surprising to consider that the answer may lie within Kawaki’s own statement – that he intended to kill Kashin Koji and take his powers. This opening scene would represent the best possible future in Kawaki’s eyes.

In chapter 13 of Boruto Two Blue Vortex, Kashin Koji assisted the protagonist by bringing him to an isolated location and revealing that he had foreseen everything that had occurred. This was made possible by his shinjutsu technique, which had awoken just before his final battle against Isshiki Otsutsuki.

Kashin Koji dubbed this ability the Ten Directions, which allowed its wielder to foresee all potential outcomes of a single action. Kashin demonstrated his prowess by revealing two devastating futures that the protagonist unknowingly avoided. Once the protagonist acknowledged his belief in Kashin, they joined forces and all future events unfolded exactly as Kashin had predicted.

Additionally, the abilities of Kashin Koji were also logical in the beginning sequence of the show, where the main character and Kawaki engaged in a struggle over the shattered statue of the Seventh Hokage. The main character inquired if there was any possibility for a different outcome in the future due to the aid of Kashin Koji.

Yet, instead of inquiring about the protagonist’s statement, Kawaki acknowledged that it was indeed the only possible future. This suggested that Kawaki may have knowledge of Kashin Koji’s abilities, as he took action to protect Naruto and the others in the future, just as he did in the present timeline.

This was also mentioned in chapter 13, as Jura departed and Kawaki obtained the frog that Kashin Koji utilized to communicate with the main character. Does this suggest that Kawaki may acquire Kashin Koji’s Ten Directions shinjutsu?

Although it may be possible in the future, there are several potential explanations for Kawaki gaining the abilities of Kashin Koji. One potential scenario is that Kawaki could awaken Ten Directions due to his possession of Shibai Otsutsuki’s cells. However, this concept may seem a bit implausible.

Another possible explanation for this could be that Kawaki acquired the powers of Kashin Koji through an unknown means. As a result, he may end up killing Kashin Koji and assimilating his shinjutsu abilities in the future, which would offer an explanation for Kawaki’s behavior in the opening scene of the series.
