The sixth episode of Konosuba’s third season opened with Kazuma and Princess Iris returning to their original bodies while they were both occupied with their separate tasks from the previous episode. As a result, Kazuma faced criticism from Aqua, Iris, and their companions. Claire then informed Kazuma that this would likely be his final encounter with Iris, giving him permission to fully embrace the moment if he dared.

Kazuma returned to his hotel and was greeted by Chris, who once again sought his assistance. He disclosed the location of the Divine Treasure, but couldn’t understand why it was considered so hazardous. However, Chris then disclosed that if one of the swapped bodies were to be killed, the transformation would become permanent, essentially granting someone practical immortality.

In episode 6 of Konosuba season 3, Kazuma’s curiosity was piqued when he watched as Chris suggested keeping their actions a secret. Afterward, she proposed visiting Princess Iris immediately, to which Kazuma agreed, and the two of them donned black attire to sneak into the castle and steal the treasure. Despite their successful infiltration, Kazuma’s antics ultimately led to their discovery.

As the soldiers pursued them, Kazuma froze some water on the ground to create a distraction, allowing them to flee. Chris then set up a wire trap in their wake, but their escape was cut short when Claire and other guards cornered them in the next room. Despite Chris’s attempts to flee, Kazuma urged them to confront their pursuers, leading him to realize that he had been behaving differently recently.

In episode 6 of Konosuba season 3, Kazuma reminisced about the positive moments he shared with Iris and the compliments she gave him. This prompted him to refocus on the present and declare that he was ready to take things seriously. He effortlessly defeated Claire using Drain Touch and warned her that he would unleash his “true power”. Keeping his word, Kazuma proceeded to defeat the remaining soldiers in the room, while Rain tended to Claire’s injuries.

Rain attempted to strike with a lightning spell, but Chris swiftly countered with Skill Bind and nullified the attack. In the midst of their battle, Kyoya Mitsurugi suddenly appeared and dismantled the wire trap that Rain had set. Kazuma then tricked Mitsurugi with a fake Steal, taking advantage of the fact that Mitsurugi had previously been defeated by this move. However, instead of stealing Mitsurugi’s weapon, Kazuma cast a freeze spell, effectively sealing his opponent’s sword in its sheath.

In episode 6 of Konosuba season 3, Kazuma continued his attack by freezing the ground and causing Mitsurugi to slip and fall. He then used Create Water to submerge Mitsurugi, leading to Claire stepping in to save him. Kazuma managed to evade her attack and left while Claire and Rain were busy saving Mitsurugi’s life.

Despite Chris’ wire trap hindering the other soldiers from chasing them, the pair believed they had succeeded in their escape. Their hopes were soon dashed when they reached Iris’ room and found Darkness waiting for them. Kazuma quickly closed the door and retreated. However, in the moonlight, Darkness recognized them as Kazuma and Chris, causing Iris to draw her sword and prepare to fight alongside Darkness.

In Konosuba season 3 episode 6, Megumin also appeared and tried to intervene, but she was immediately captivated by the costumes Chris and Kazuma were wearing. This caused a delay as Kazuma used a binding spell on the two of them, but the effects were reversed when a tipsy Aqua, who had been lounging on the bed, accidentally undid the spell. At that moment, Claire, Mitsurugi, Rain, and several other soldiers caught up to them, forcing Kazuma and Chris to make a daring attempt to steal the Divine Treasure.

Despite their success and hasty escape, Darkness confronted them in Kazuma’s hotel room and scolded them for withholding the truth. However, it was later discovered that they had taken Iris’ ring instead of the Divine Treasure. Tragically, the ring could only be removed by the Princess’ betrothed upon meeting them, ultimately leading to the Prince’s death.

In episode 6 of Konosuba season 3, Kazuma appeared to be affected by this development. The following day, Darkness revealed the true identity of the necklace to Iris and her companions. Kazuma was present and received criticism from Claire for his perceived uselessness. However, Claire, Iris, and Rain eventually realized that the thieves were trying to protect Iris, earning their praise and respect.

Upon seeing Kazuma smile, everyone immediately noticed that it seemed out of place. However, Iris appeared to recognize him based on her words and direct gaze. Darkness quickly intervened and made excuses, giving Iris enough time to reveal that she had not realized he was the thief.

In episode 6 of Konosuba season 3, Iris led Kazuma and his companions out of the castle. She revealed that she had a final request for Kazuma before they left. However, Darkness interrupted and asked Iris to offer words of encouragement to Kazuma, as he may one day defeat the Devil King. Iris was delighted by this and Kazuma replied that he would consider it if the chance arose. She then wished him luck, which seemed to make Megumin jealous and the two began to argue.

After Iris shared her final wish with Kazuma, she asked him to come over and play with her one more time, as they had yet to finish their game. Upon returning home, Kazuma argued with Darkness and pointed out that her words had transformed Iris’ request from a romantic gesture into a more platonic one.

As Kazuma shouted at her for the last time, Iris reassured Claire and Rain not to feel upset about the ring. She kept the ring’s secret rule to herself, thinking about it. Iris then disclosed that the one who defeats the Devil King is entitled to marry the princess as a reward. The episode concluded with Iris confessing that she was aware he had taken the ring and expressed her hope that he would take good care of it in the future.
