According to a report by the Korean media outlet SWAY on October 11, it has been confirmed that Seunghan’s reinstatement into the group RIIZE has not materialized.
SM Entertainment held discussions regarding Seunghan’s potential return; however, they ultimately determined that reintegrating him into the group would pose significant challenges. A critical factor in this decision was the backlash from fans concerning his possible comeback.
This conclusion comes after a 10-month hiatus, with SM Entertainment planning to expedite Seunghan’s departure from the team. Reports indicate that Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Sohee, and Anton are all in agreement with this decision.
Interestingly, SWAY, known for its coverage of various celebrity relationships—including Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol, TWICE’s Jihyo with athlete Yoon Sung-bin, and most recently, TWICE’s Chaeyoung and Zion.T—has retracted its article about Seunghan’s exit, sparking further speculation among fans.
Moreover, former trainee Han Seo-hee had previously suggested that Seunghan would be making a comeback, which left some fans clinging to the possibility of his return.
Since his debut, Seunghan has faced scrutiny over his personal life, including incidents such as being spotted smoking as a minor and discussing issues with TXT’s Soobin on social media.
In light of the controversies, Seunghan issued a handwritten statement announcing his hiatus, expressing, “I understand that my past reckless behaviors have adversely affected many, and I am sincerely reflecting on my actions.”
