On May 30 (KST), Lee Soo Man made a keynote speech at the General Assembly meeting of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC). It was his first public appearance since leaving SM Entertainment, attracting significant attention.
During the event, the ex-SM president was spotted donning the ‘Chrome Hearts’ ring, also referred to as Lee Soo Man’s “SuperM friendship ring”.
SuperM is a super group consisting of the most popular male idols from SM Entertainment in 2019. The “friendship rings”were given to the 7 members as gifts from Lee Soo Man to commemorate their debut. During the event, member Taemin playfully requested for the ring on Lee Soo Man’s hand, prompting Lee to give it to him. He then went on to purchase another identical ring for himself.
Despite leaving SM, Lee surprised many Korean netizens by wearing this ring on his hand at the recent event, leading them to speculate if he was hinting at something.
Their comments included phrases like,
“He must be delighted by the amount of money that went directly into his pocket from SuperM.”
“He was determined to become a new member of SuperM, haha.”
