Gallup Korea released the findings of a survey conducted between March 22nd and April 5th, in which 1777 individuals aged 13 or older in Korea (excluding Jeju) were asked about their preferred talents. The results were announced on June 19th.
Kim Soo-hyun received the highest percentage of votes at 6.4%, securing first place. Nam Goong-min and Kim Ji-won both tied for second place with 2.9%, while Cha Eun-woo and Kim Nam-joo tied for fourth place with 2.7%. Other notable names in the top 10 included Choi Soo-jong (2.5%), Song Joong-ki (2.3%), Choi Bul-am (2.2%), Go Doo-shim (2.0%), and Kim Go-eun (1.8%).
The outstanding performances of Kim Soo-hyun as Baek Hyun-woo and Kim Ji-won as Hong Hae-in in tvN’s popular drama “Queen of Tears”captured the attention of the public until its conclusion in late April. Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo and Kim Nam-joo starred as Kwon Sun-yul and Eun Soo-hyun in MBC’s “Wonderful World”. Additionally, Choi Soo-jong portrayed Kang Gam-chan in KBS 2TV’s historical drama “Goryeo-Khitan War”and Nam Goong-min played Lee Jang-hyun in MBC’s “My Dearest”.
In addition, Kim Soo-hyun held the top spot in 2014 thanks to his role in SBS’s drama “My Love From The Star”. All ten actors in the top rankings are highly regarded for their exceptional acting abilities and have been active in the industry for over ten years. Among them, Cha Eun-woo, who made his debut in 2014, has the shortest career, while Choi Bul-am, who debuted in 1967, has the most extensive experience.
Among the other talented individuals who were also recognized with votes of over 1%, were Han So-hee, Kim Hye-ja, Park Eun-bin (1.7%), Park Seo-joon (1.6%), Son Ye-jin (1.5%), Song Hye-kyo, Kim Yoo-jung (1.2%), Jeon Ji-hyun, Kim Hye-soo (1.1%), and Jo Jung-suk, Lee Bo-young, and Gong Yoo (1.0%).
