A remake of the Taiwanese drama “Want to See You”, Netflix’s original Korean drama “Into Your Time”released new stills today (18), showing the protagonists in different periods.
“Into Your Time”starring Ahn Hyo-seop and Quan Yuyun (originally translated as Quan Rubin), tells the story of “Junxi”, who misses her boyfriend who passed away a year ago, travels from 2023 to 1998, and meets “Junxi”who is exactly the same as her boyfriend Si Xian”and also met a friend “Ren Kyu”.
Ahn Hyo-seop plays Jun Hee’s boyfriend “Gu Yeon-jun”, and “Nam Si-heon”who looks similar to Gu Yeon-jun in 1998; “Zhu”, but the personality is completely different; Jiang Xun plays “Jung In-kui”, a character who is entangled between friendship and love.
The first stills are photos of the school uniforms of the three protagonists, and the second may be photos of college days and after leaving society and entering the workplace. If you have seen the original “Want to See You”, it is not difficult to guess which photo should be Nam Si Heon (played by Ahn Hyo-seop) and Kwon Min-joo (played by Jun Yuyun) in 1998, or Goo Yeon-joon (played by Ahn Hyo-seop) many years later) and Han Junxi (played by Quan Yuyun), they can even guess from which period of time and which episode.
From Twitter, Instagram or Theqoo netizens’ comments, it can be seen that Quan Yuyun’s uniform style was unexpectedly well received. Otherwise, when the casting news came out, quite a few netizens thought it would be difficult for Quan Yuyun to reproduce the student feeling of the Taiwanese heroine Ke Jiayan. Netizens commented “Quan Yuyun is more suitable than I imagined”, “Quan Rubin is much more beautiful with short hair than long hair”. Many people also mentioned that Jiang Xun looks very suitable for the role of Mo Junjie (played by Shi Baiyu) in the original work. And Ahn Hyo-seop’s face is not as round as in the previous preview, and the overall shape does not seem to be as good as “unsuitable for wearing uniforms”that netizens thought at the time. What do you think?
