KOZ Entertainment Addresses Zico’s ‘Thief’ Allegations In Official Statement + To Take Legal Action

On June 23, the latest installment of SBS’s “Unanswered Questions”was aired, highlighting an unresolved case involving a burglar who had broken into the residence of the late Goo Hara.

Once a sketch and description of the suspect was made public, netizens quickly began to suspect that the man in question was Zico, as the culprit shared similar physical characteristics and body structure.

In addition, netizens started to bring up Zico’s 2016 interview from the Burning Sun investigation, where he revealed that Jung Joon Young owned a “golden phone”used for exchanging “molkas”or private videos of victims.

KOZ Entertainment announced on June 24 that they have released an official statement regarding their decision to take legal action against any malicious posts or rumors directed at Zico.

The complete statement can be found here:

“Hello.

This is KOZ Entertainment.

We have confirmed that malicious posts and comments such as defamation, insults, and dissemination of false information have been indiscriminately made on various online communities and social media sites regarding our artist Zico.

Particularly, we believe that the spread of malicious rumors and falsehoods that clearly have nothing to do with the artists is becoming more serious and that strong legal action against them is urgently needed.

Accordingly, we have filed a complaint with the investigative agency by collecting posts and comments on various online communities, and SNS, and we will continue to collect malicious posts and file complaints on a regular basis.

In addition, we would like to clarify that the ongoing rumors about the artist are not true, and we will respond strongly to them.

In order to protect the rights and interests of artists, we will continue to take strict action against the perpetrators of malicious posts based on fans’ reports and evidence collected through our self-monitoring.”

The statement and overall situation drew reactions from netizens, as seen on Pannchoa.
