Kpop Star Claims Sending Funeral Flowers to Ex-RIIZE Seunghan is “Attempted Murder”

On October 17, former DAY6 member Jae, who is also known as “eaJ” (real name Park Jae-hyung), voiced his outrage concerning a protest involving mourning flowers sent by fans of the group RIIZE.

Jae passionately condemned the actions of certain RIIZE fans who dispatched funeral wreaths as a form of protest against member Seunghan’s return to the group, labeling the act as “appalling” in a post shared on X (previously Twitter).

He stated, “The funeral flowers were appalling. Those who sent them will likely be the first to express their sorrow online should a tragic incident occur. While I hope that never happens, I’ve been in a similar situation before, and it was terrifying. I can only imagine the psychological impact on someone so young,” said the idol.

Anyone involved in the flowers should be tried for attempted murder because that is what that was.

He went as far as to equate those who sent the flowers to murderers, asserting, “Anyone involved in sending those flowers should face charges for attempted murder, as that’s exactly what it was.”

Meanwhile, Seunghan, a member of SM’s emerging group RIIZE, had temporarily suspended his activities due to a personal controversy prior to debut. However, following the announcement of his return, certain fans expressed their discontent. In a show of protest, they sent funeral wreaths to the headquarters of SM Entertainment, demanding his exit from the band.

In light of the escalating protests, just two days after the news of his return was made public, Seunghan ultimately exited RIIZE. SM Entertainment later confirmed his departure, and he also shared a handwritten message to express his stance to the fans.

Born in 1992, Jae first came into the spotlight in 2011 via the SBS audition show “K-Pop Star” Season 1. He debuted with the band DAY6 but left the group in 2022 to embark on a solo journey.
