Krispy Kreme Joins McDonald’s: Celebrate with Free Donuts Giveaway

Krispy Kreme is treating customers to a complimentary Original Glazed donut in celebration of its partnership with McDonald’s.

In March 2024, McDonald’s Senior Marketing Director, Guillaume Huin, shared the exciting news on X/Twitter that their collaboration will bring Krispy Kreme donuts to McDonald’s locations across the nation by the end of 2026.

This partnership will include fan-favorite options such as the Iconic Original Glazed, the Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, and the Chocolate Iced Kreme. Once available, customers will have the option to purchase individual donuts or boxes containing six.

While the full rollout of Krispy Kreme donuts is planned for nationwide availability within the next two years, customers in Chicago, IL, will enjoy early access starting Tuesday, October 15.

To mark this special occasion, Krispy Kreme is offering a free Original Glazed donut from October 10 to October 14. To claim the complimentary donut, customers must present a McDonald’s receipt from an order made between these dates.

Both digital and printed receipts are eligible for this promotion, limited to one free donut per visit.

Krispy Kreme is extending its giveaway of free donuts to customers until October 14.

As they gear up for this collaboration, Josh Charlesworth, President and CEO of Krispy Kreme, expressed excitement in a statement.

“Our customers consistently ask for greater access to our fresh, delicious donuts,” Charlesworth noted. “Bringing Krispy Kreme donuts to McDonald’s is a fantastic opportunity for our fans, and we’re thrilled to celebrate it with a free Original Glazed donut for those who also stop by McDonald’s.”

Although patrons in Chicago will be the first to experience this partnership, Krispy Kreme intends to expand the offering to 12,000 McDonald’s locations by the end of 2026.

In the meantime, customers can take advantage of the free Original Glazed donut deal while it lasts or explore Krispy Kreme’s Harvest Collection, available until November 28.
