Krispy Kreme Launches Barbie Donuts But There’s a Catch

Krispy Kreme has recently introduced a collection of donuts inspired by Barbie, in honor of the toy brand’s 65th anniversary. However, at the moment, these donuts are only being sold in the UK.

Since its initial release in 1959, Mattel’s Barbie doll has achieved iconic status and remains one of the most popular toys in the world.

In 2024, Krispy Kreme celebrated its 65th Anniversary by introducing a new collection of Barbie-themed donuts for its fans to savor. These donuts feature the signature Barbie colors, and three of them are adorned with an edible plaque.

The collaboration has resulted in four donuts to sample, however, they can only be found in the United Kingdom until October 6, 2024.

  • The Barbie Pink Doughnut is a glazed donut decorated with pink frosting, pink sugar, and a sugar Barbie plaque.
  • Celebrate Barbie’s 65th anniversary with our Barbie Sweet donut, featuring a glazed donut dipped in rich chocolate icing and decorated with sprinkles inspired by Barbie herself.
  • The “Barbie Berries N’ Kreme”donut features a filling of Strawberry Kreme and is adorned with a combination of purple and pink frosting, along with a heart-shaped chocolate featuring the iconic Barbie logo.
  • The Malibu Dream Party is a tasty treat made of a Biscoff Kreme-filled donut coated in cookie crumbs and gold nibs, topped with a Malibu house sugar plaque.

Despite being sold in stores nationwide, the Malibu Dream Party donut can only be acquired by using the Krispy Kreme app.

The comments were filled with users expressing their thoughts, with numerous individuals expressing enthusiasm to taste the limited-edition Krispy Kreme Barbie donuts.

“I require these immediately,”responded one user.

Another exclaimed, “I can’t believe it, I want all of them!”

“Today, I will be celebrating with these,”commented a third user who is now 21 years old.

Despite numerous requests for Krispy Kreme to introduce the Barbie donuts in the United States, the company responded by advising followers to stay tuned to updates from their US branch’s Instagram account.

According to the food-focused Instagram page Snackolator, there are plans to release them in the US, suggesting that they may arrive sooner than expected.
