KSI & Logan Paul’s Prime secures sponsorship with another major sports team

KSI and Logan Paul’s Prime Hydration has recently secured a sponsorship deal with S.L. Benfica, a major sports team in the world of Portuguese football.

As bottles have been selling rapidly, Prime has formed partnerships with top names in the sports industry, earning the title of official drink for the UFC, WWE, and multiple teams in various sports. Additionally, another prominent team has recently announced Prime as their official hydration partner.

On May 24, S.L. Benfica, a Primeira Liga club, was revealed as the newest football club to secure a Prime sponsorship. A video was released, showing a helicopter carrying a bottle of the hydration beverage into the iconic Estádio da Luz stadium, home of the club.

According to a press release from the Portuguese football club, the partnership between Clube Benfica and Prime has been extended until 2027. This will see Prime having a presence at Estádio da Luz and being integrated into various communication platforms to increase visibility. Additionally, the first team will continue to receive Prime’s hydration beverage during both training and games.

Prime’s dominance in the hydration drink market has been evident since its debut in early 2022, surpassing even Walmart’s sales to become the top-selling sports and hydration beverage in the first month of 2024.

Despite recent trouble, the company has come under fire with a class action complaint alleging that Prime’s energy drinks contain more than the advertised amount of 200mg of caffeine.

This is not the first time that Prime has faced a legal dispute. In 2023, the company was also sued for allegedly exceeding the permitted level of “forever chemicals”called per- and polyfluoralkyl substances (PFAS) in their drink.

Although the chemicals have been associated with detrimental impacts on human health, Logan Paul has refuted these allegations and defended Prime as being entirely safe. He has criticized those who spread “misinformation”about the product.
