KSI Responds to Criticism of His New Song, Claims It’s “Trendy to Hate” on Him

KSI has expressed his frustration towards “stupid fans” who are criticizing his recent track ‘Thick of It,’ stating that their negative comments stem from a desire to fit into the current trend of hating on him. He urges them to move past it.

The artist released ‘Thick of It,’ featuring Trippie Redd, on October 3. Since its debut, listeners have not hesitated to voice their opinions, and many have been quite vocal about their disapproval.

Prior to the launch, KSI shared a brief clip of the song in late September, which received a swift wave of negative feedback. Coupled with the drama surrounding DanTDM’s Lunchly launch, it seems fans have been quick to critique the song every time it surfaces.

Even Drake added his voice to the discussion by encouraging Adin Ross to play the track during his stream on October 6. However, some viewers felt that the rapper was merely joking at KSI’s expense rather than genuinely supporting him.

On October 7, KSI took to X to respond to his critics after a viral video showed a van slowly cruising while displaying an advertisement for his song on a large screen. The individual who posted the video referred to this advertising tactic as “punishment” for those who witnessed it.

KSI retweeted the post, stating: “What is this caption? It’s called marketing!?!??!?!?!?!? I can’t even promote my work without people mocking me?”

He further commented on his Instagram Story, sharing: “Can you believe that people are wasting so much time ridiculing a song that took so much effort to create? I understand it’s currently in vogue to hate on me, but can we just move forward?”

Earlier, on October 5, he had also called out “these stupid fans” for posting “trash” comments about his music.

“This isn’t amusing. It’s dull. You’re just squandering your energy,” he expressed.

KSI is not only dealing with backlash regarding his song; he is also facing criticism for the recent launch of PRIME’s Lunchly alongside MrBeast’s Feastables, as many have accused them of failing to offer a “healthier” option aimed at children.
