About the Kujima Utaeba and Horror manga series

Shogakukan recently concluded the serialization of Akira Konno’s manga series, Kujima Utaeba le Hororo, and also revealed plans for an anime adaptation. This news has undoubtedly sparked excitement among fans.

According to the manga, the story revolves around a middle school student named Arata Koda, who unexpectedly encounters a strange bird-like creature named Kujima who is in a state of starvation. Arata soon discovers that Kujima has a fondness for Japanese cuisine and decides to bring the creature to his family home, where they begin to live together.

Despite being aware of the tense dynamic within the Koda family, particularly due to Arata’s older brother’s failure on his college entrance exam, Kujima still ends up living as a freeloader in Arata’s house with the bird.

Despite this, he assures that he will endure until the passing of winter and the arrival of spring’s warmth. As a result, the manga depicts a heartwarming tale of friendship, incorporating surrealism and a generous amount of comedic moments.

One noteworthy achievement was that Akira-san’s Kujima Utaeba le Hororo manga was nominated in the print category of the Next Manga Awards. Additionally, it ranked within the top 20 manga series for male readers in Takarajimasha’s This Manga is Amazing magazine’s 2023 edition.
