When it comes to animation, Dreamworks stands out hands down with titles such as Shrek, Dragons and, obviously… Kung Fu Panda! It must be said that the film has many solid arguments to convince its audience. The humor that adorns the exciting story is carried by a five-star cast, the action is thrilling: you can never get enough of it.
And that’s good, because after three first parts which smashed everything in theaters, a fourth will soon hit the cinemas. We had to wait almost ten years, which means that the fans are on the starting blocks! Release date, trailer, plot, we tell you everything we know about Kung Fu Panda 4.

Kung Fu Panda 4 will be released in theaters on March 27, 2024 in France. That’s almost eight years after the last film, Kung Du Panda 3!

A recent trailer also had fun parodying the film Dune 2 by Denis Villeneuve, with which it will be in competition in American cinemas, propelling Po into the shoes of Paul Atréides on Arrakis:
Kung Fu Panda 4 Cast: Who Will Star in the New Movie?
One of the best arguments for Kung Fu Panda 4 is undoubtedly its cast made up of excellent voice actors. Although the full list of characters is yet to be confirmed, you can find the main cast below:
- Jack Black as Po
- Bryan Cranston as Li
- Dustin Hoffman as Shifu
- James Hong as Mr. Ping
- Ian McShane as Tai Lung
In addition to the return of the original voices, three renowned actors will join the franchise:
- Viola Davis as Chameleon
- Awkwafina as Zhen
- Ke Huy Quan as Han
Aside from the quality casting, we will also have to count on the presence of the famous composer Hans Zimmer for the original music of Kung Fu Panda 4. The author had already worked on the previous parts, and will therefore offer a new soundtrack which should live up to the characters of the heroic saga.
Kung Fu Panda 4 Plot: What will the film be about?
Although no major details about the upcoming film have been revealed, distributor Universal presents it like this:
“After three adventures in which the dragon warrior Po fought the most formidable masters of evil thanks to unparalleled courage and martial arts skills, destiny will once again knock at his door to… invite him to finally rest. More specifically, to be named spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace.
This poses some obvious problems. First, Po is proficient in both spiritual leadership and dieting, and second, he must quickly find and train a new dragon warrior before he can enjoy the benefits of his prestigious promotion.”
