During a recent variety show, solo artist Kwon Eunbi sparked controversy after repeatedly doing THIS to NCT 127 member Jungwoo, despite apparent signs of discomfort from the male idol.
In the latest episode of ENA’s “City Z Goes to the Countryside,”Kwon Eunbi and Jungwoo were featured as guests.
During a game segment, the two idols competed against each other’s teams when Kwon made the surprising choice to pull down Jungwoo’s baggy pants over his actual clothes in an attempt to slow him down.
Jungwoo, visibly flustered, briefly stopped moving and turned to the staff with a smile, questioning whether such behavior was appropriate.
Regardless, the game proceeded, and Jungwoo managed to escape from Eunbi, even as she continued to hold onto his pants.
When clips of this incident were shared online, many K-Netz expressed concerns regarding the “Underwater”singer’s actions, labeling them as “indecent.”
While all smiles, Jungwoo’s reaction was interpreted by netizens as being caught off guard; they believed he didn’t want to embarrass the female idol, thus maintaining his lighthearted demeanor.
Criticism continued to mount against Eunbi for her repeated actions, especially considering Jungwoo’s initial discomfort. Many K-pop fans pointed out that had the roles been reversed, with Jungwoo acting similarly towards a female idol, the response would likely have been much more intense.
- “If it were the other way around and Jungwoo behaved like that, he would have faced serious backlash.”
- “Does Jungwoo look like he’s genuinely laughing because he finds it humorous? The more I think about it, the more it irritates me.”
- “This isn’t about being overly sensitive; it’s about inappropriate behavior. They aren’t even close friends.”
- “Kwon Eunbi really crossed the line? Even as her top fan, I feel upset. How would (Jungwoo’s) fans feel?”
