January 2024 started off with a bang for K-drama fans, as Netflix released Part 2 of Kyongsong’s Creature and left the door open for a now-confirmed season 2 – but is there a release date?
Netflix has had flair in signing on to broadcast numerous K-dramas, contributing to their worldwide fame in recent years by introducing them to spectators. Among these works which are increasingly unanimous among the audience of the streaming giant, is The Creature of Kyongsong. The Korean series mixing history, mystery and action has already obtained the green light for a season 2.
A privilege that only a few K-dramas can boast of obtaining: announcing a season 2 so early is not given to everyone. The Creature of Kyongsong thus joins the club of Netflix darlings, alongside Sweet Home, whose season 3 was already confirmed when the second was released. It must be said that the cliffhanger at the end of Kyongsong’s Creature opened the door wide for a sequel.
Indeed, part 2 of the series, broadcast on January 5, 2024, was the opportunity for Netflix to announce that the characters’ adventures were not over /span>. Tae-sang and Chae-ok will therefore return… but in a more contemporary Korea.
The question that remains is this: when will season 2 of The Creature of Kyongsong be released?

The Creature from Kyongsong season 2 release date
At this point, there is no official release date for The Kyongsong Creature season 2 on Netflix. But speculation on social networks is betting on a broadcast in 2024.
According to Netflix, season 2 will explore new territories. The first photos of the upcoming installment reveal the return of Han So-hee as Chae-ok and Park Seo-joon as a character named Ho-jae >. According to the pre-credits scene, the plot is set in modern Korea, many years after the events at Onseong Hospital.
Although the date has not yet been officially revealed, there is good news: filming for season 2 of Kyongsong’s Creature has already been completed. In an Instagram post, Han So-hee actually took photos with fans during the end of filming party for the second season: it was in September 2023! Which therefore means that the series has probably entered post-production.
