Latest Black Clover Theory Suggests Adramelech’s Origin and It’s Terrifying

Despite being in its final story arc, fans of the Black Clover manga were eagerly anticipating Yuki Tabata’s conclusion to the series. However, the manga’s publication shifted to Jump GIGA and it now releases on a quarterly basis.

As a result, the manga’s ending was accelerated. This was due to the change in format, which resulted in only two chapters being released over a period of three months instead of the usual weekly serialization. However, fans can take comfort in the fact that Yuki Tabata has assured them that he will still conclude the series in the way he originally intended, by tying up all loose ends and storylines that needed closure.

The highest-ranking devil Adramelech was one plotline that captured particular interest. Due to the mystery surrounding his origin and role in Lucius’s plan, many were curious to learn more about him. In fact, one Black Clover fan even came up with a theory about the devil’s origins.

Please be advised that this article contains spoilers from the Black Clover manga.

Was Adramelech from Black Clover originally a human?

According to a Black Clover fan theory proposed by @HikariSuzuki14 on X (formerly known as Twitter), it is possible that the highest-ranking devil, Adramelech, was actually a human before. Although this theory may seem far-fetched at first, there are valid reasons to support it.

It is clear that fans are only aware of the devil’s alliance with Lucius Zogratis, as demonstrated by his willingness to carry out tasks for the eldest sibling of the Zogratis family.

During the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc, the devil was initially spotted as he patiently observed Asta and his companions battling against Lucifero. Once the King of Devils was vanquished, Adramelech swooped in, took his heart, and departed to meet with Lucius. Throughout this encounter, he displayed no aggression towards humans, particularly Asta, who was lying unconscious before him.

Despite being allied with the Zogratis, Adramelech did not take the perfect chance to kill Asta, who is known as the “Flaw of the World,”as Lucius Zogratis had intended. This information remains intriguing.

This implies that although Adramelech was on Lucius’s side, he had his own personal agenda, possibly related to his past. It is possible that he was aiding Lucius in his quest to regain his human form, but he may not have been completely supportive of Lucius’s plans for the Paladins. This could explain why Adramelech chose not to attack Asta and spared the Magic Knight’s life during their confrontation.

Despite the fact that Lucius Zogratis has not yet transformed Adramelech into a human, it is possible that he suspected the highest-ranking devil’s treachery and purposely postponed the purification process. Fortunately, as the Black Clover manga nears its conclusion, Yuki Tabata may have the opportunity to delve into Adramelech’s story and reveal the reasons behind his alliance with a human who opposed the devil’s agenda.
