At the Pokemon World Championships 2024, avid players of Pokemon are gradually getting a sneak peek at the highly anticipated mobile game, Pokemon TCG Pocket. It appears that the majority are enthusiastic about the new artwork.
At the time of writing, a brief teaser trailer for the game has been released. However, reports from attendees at the Championships in Honolulu indicate that a trailer is being shown at the Pokemon Center. PokeBeach, one of the individuals sharing photos from the event, has published images of various new cards.

The most recent additions to the card lineup include Squirtle and Pidgeot, each with unique variations of the rare Illustration cards. However, it is unclear at this point how these cards will be obtained and showcased.
Fans are already expressing their desire for these cards to be produced in physical form, with one individual stating, “They must print these cards”and providing the explanation, “Pidgeot is amazing and Squirtle is such a lovable little character.”
Some people praised the dedication being shown towards Pocket, stating that it is evident that this is a crucial project for The Pokemon Company. One individual remarked that TPC is fully invested in the artwork for TCG Pocket and expressed a desire to see various alternative art designs for cards, similar to those seen in Marvel Snap.
Pokemon enthusiasts began discussing the most recent TCG Pocket reveals on a Reddit thread, sharing their thoughts on the “brutal”artwork of Pidgeot. The card depicts Pidgeot capturing a vulnerable Magikarp, which sparked a conversation among fans.
The response makes a humorous comment regarding the artwork and predicts that Magikarp will retaliate by drenching the Pidgeot, stating, “That Pidgeot better prepare for a soaking.”
Despite this, there are still many individuals expressing enthusiasm for these cards in the comments section. However, there are also those who are anticipating a greater level of interactivity once the app is officially launched. As one comment elaborates, “I strongly believe that Pocket should include animated versions of these cards.”
Another person also requests the same thing, stating, “It feels like a huge missed opportunity to not have animated cards. Although there is a possibility, I highly doubt it will happen.”The full reveal of Pokemon TCG Pocket is still pending, leaving uncertainty about what surprises may be in store when it is released.
