Latest Street Fighter 6 Trailer: Terry Release Date and Outfit 2 Revealed

In Metro City, there is no rest as Street Fighter 6 constantly adds new fighters. The recent gameplay trailer showcases Terry’s transition from Fatal Fury to Street Fighter, including a glimpse at his new stage. Additionally, his release date has been revealed and it is coming up soon.

The gameplay trailer for Terry includes numerous entertaining nods to the past of Street Fighter, Fatal Fury, and their crossover titles. The initial battle between the two combatants in the video is a direct recreation of the iconic intro from the original Street Fighter 2. This homage is then followed by Terry’s arrival in Metro City via taxi. The scene where he gazes up at the electronic “Knockout Festival”screens is a clear reference to the opening of the first Fatal Fury game, where he steps out of a taxi and looks at a poster promoting the King of Fighters tournament.

The majority of the trailer is set in the new “Pao Pao Cafe 6” stage, which is a branch of the popular cafe featured in Fatal Fury and King of Fighters games. In the background of the stage, we can see familiar faces such as Joe Higashi and Blue Mary Ryan from Fatal Fury. Interestingly, Terry’s first opponent in the trailer is Ken, possibly referencing their special interactions in SNK vs. Capcom titles and showcasing their fighting skills.

The characters in Street Fighter usually have fewer special moves compared to those in Fatal Fury or King of Fighters. Therefore, it is interesting to observe how Terry’s signature moves are divided among his abilities in Street Fighter. One noteworthy change is that moves such as Power Dunk have been incorporated into target combos. Additionally, we are given a glimpse of his Level 3 Super Art, which appears to draw inspiration from the Fatal Fury OVA but is otherwise entirely original.

The preview also features Terry’s Outfit 2, which includes his iconic jacket and haircut from Garou: Mark of the Wolves and the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Fans can expect to unlock this nostalgic look for free through World Tour Mode, following the pattern of previous Street Fighter 6 characters, including DLC, by grinding through Bond Levels.

Terry’s final details are not revealed in the trailer, but in the video description, it is stated that he will be joining Street Fighter 6 on September 24. Those who want to add the hungry wolf to their roster in Metro City should use the remaining time to train their fighter in World Tour Mode.
