Laura Harrier Removes Shameik Moore TikTok Following Spider-Verse Star’s Apology

After encountering controversy on social media, Laura Harrier has removed a TikTok in which she labeled Shameik Moore a “weirdo.” This action followed an apology from Moore, who subsequently deactivated his social media accounts before returning online.

Harrier, known for her role in Spider-Man: Homecoming, responded to Moore after he shared a nostalgic clip of the two of them taking photos together. He captioned the post with a vague “Coming soon,”which led to speculation about their relationship. However, this speculation was unfounded, as Harrier is engaged and felt uncomfortable with the implications of Moore’s post. When he did not remove the clip upon her request, Harrier addressed the situation directly on TikTok: “I’m sorry you’re a f**king weirdo and I’m annoyed,” she expressed, showcasing her frustration.

Laura Harrier “Needed a Moment”Before Deleting TikTok

Shortly after the incident, Harrier decided to take down her original TikTok video. Before its removal, she added a new note: “Gonna delete this, there are much more important things in the world but just needed to have a moment lmao.” This statement highlights the emotional toll and context of her reaction to the online drama.

In her subsequent video explanation, Harrier reiterated her discomfort, stating, “I am literally getting married and I don’t like this insinuation that there’s something going on between us if that was your intention.”

In response, Moore clarified that his intent was purely artistic and not suggestive of a romantic relationship. “I wasn’t insinuating a relationship… I mean no harm, I have no ill intent. It’s about art for me, you know? The video had the aesthetic of the song… I apologize for the misunderstanding,” he stated.

In light of the situation, Moore promptly removed the controversial post from all his accounts, initially deactivating them as well. However, he has since returned to social media, sharing mainly promotional content, including a link to his latest single titled “Clean Slate.”

This incident is not Moore’s first brush with speculation, as he previously stirred discussions regarding his relationship with co-star Hailee Steinfeld following her engagement announcement. He remarked on social media about life’s opportunities, which many interpreted as a hint towards pursuing a connection with Steinfeld.

“It’s been a tough weekend, my brother. The internet’s been killing me, I’m sorry,” Moore expressed as he faced the backlash from online discussions (source: Screen Rant).
