Background of the Allegations
Carter relocated from California to Greenville, North Carolina in 2022 to join MrBeast’s team as a full-time producer. She claims to have signed an Independent Contractor Services Agreement upon her hiring. Despite having a base salary of $10,000 per month, she contends that her classification as an independent contractor was a method to evade paying for overtime work.

Working Conditions
Carter has stated that her work lifestyle was demanding, requiring her to be available for calls and messages at all times, regardless of the day of the week. She argues that this intense schedule, coupled with the alleged misclassification as an independent contractor, essentially deprived her of rightful overtime compensation.
Current Legal Proceedings
Carter and her legal team are pursuing a jury trial to seek compensation for the overtime hours worked, including accrued interest. As MrBeast continues to maintain his status as one of the highest-paid YouTubers of 2024, this lawsuit may impact his public image and financial standing.
Conclusion
While MrBeast remains a significant figure in the entertainment space, known for hitting remarkable milestones and creating viral content, the allegations from a former employee raise serious questions regarding employment practices within his organization.
