LE SSERAFIM ‘EASY’ Accused of Sounding Like Another Song

Three months since its debut, LE SSERAFIM’s song “EASY”has been facing accusations of being too similar to another song.

A post titled “The song that resembles LE SSERAFIM’s ‘EASY’”was uploaded to TheQoo, a popular online community forum in South Korea, on May 17, 2024.

The original poster of the thread draws a comparison between the 2017 song “Cliché,”released by rapper Velous, and LE SSERAFIM’s February 2024 release “EASY.”The poster also pointed out that “We Got So Much”is the only song without any controversy surrounding it.

After viewing the post and listening to both songs, Korean netizens could not deny the striking similarities between the two. The melody and rhythm are almost identical, prompting many to question if this could be considered plagiarism.

It was questioned by many why HYBE would plagiarize another song, especially considering the fact that the company receives numerous love calls from producers worldwide. There seems to be no need for them to resort to copying a song.
