Singer Kim Yeon-ja was featured as a guest on the KBS Kpop channel’s “Eunchae’s Star Diary”on June 13th.
During the episode, Hong Eunchae read questions from fans about Kim Yeon-ja. One fan congratulated Kim Yeon-ja on her 50th debut anniversary and acknowledged her successful career in Japan from a young age. The fan also noted the similarities between Kim Yeon-ja and Eunchae and requested some words of wisdom or a warm advice from the senior in the music industry and in life. Additionally, on behalf of the countless fans who wanted to show their love for Eunchae, the fan asked for a 30-second hug, expressing their desire to hug her but not being able to do so.
Upon receiving the fan’s requests, Hong Eunchae expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am deeply moved by the question you have left, FEARNOT (fandom name).”Witnessing this, Kim Yeon-ja couldn’t help but feel envious, remarking, “I wish I was loved by fans like you. Your love for them must be reciprocated, there is no one-sided affection here.”
After observing Eunchae’s performances, Kim Yeon-ja offered her advice, praising her dancing and singing abilities. She encouraged Eunchae to approach anything she does with confidence, noting that she is already in a much better position than Kim was in her youth. Kim also reminded Eunchae that she is highly valued by both fans and her fellow members, and expressed her belief that Eunchae has a bright future ahead of her.
After embracing Hong Eunchae, Kim Yeon-ja promised, “I will make sure to pass on all the love from our fans to you.”
As Hong Eunchae began to cry, Kim Yeon-ja consoled her, “You are truly one of the greatest people I have ever met. It’s okay to cry when you feel like crying and to get angry when you need to. Your emotions have an impact on the song… You are aware of your own weaknesses better than anyone else and you have the ability to improve on them… Let me tell you, even at this stage in life, we all have worries. It’s important to periodically ask yourself, ‘What am I lacking?’ in order to fill in any gaps.”
According to Source Music, the agency representing LE SSERAFIM, the group has recently been facing a barrage of malicious posts.
On June 7th, the agency provided an update on the ongoing investigation into the malicious posts and comments directed at LE SSERAFIM. They reported that they had gathered a significant number of posts and comments and had submitted complaints to investigative agencies for charges such as insult, defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act, and sexual harassment under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes. The agency also stated that they are actively monitoring and gathering evidence, and any form of malicious slander, false information, personal attacks, derogatory terms, and crude comments will be included in the legal action being taken.
Despite the challenges she is facing, Hong Eunchae has received an outpouring of support from her fans. Many have left heartfelt comments, such as, “Remember that we are always here for you, hugging you in our hearts and offering comfort,”and “It’s heartwarming to hear about the good advice she received from a senior.”Additionally, Yeon-ja’s warm hug and sincere advice for Eunchae have been greatly appreciated.
