The recent documentary by LE SSERAFIM has left fans feeling heartbroken as it revealed the struggles and burdens that Sakura faces as an idol.
On July 29, the official YouTube account of HYBE Labels released LE SSERAFIM’s documentary, “Make It Look Easy.”In the documentary, Sakura from LE SSERAFIM was captured in tears, showcasing the immense pressure she was under.
After completing their promotions for their debut full album, “UNFORGIVEN,”Sakura was overwhelmed with emotion as she practiced singing, shedding tears from the pressure. She bravely admitted, “I have a fear of performing in front of others. It’s a daunting experience for me.”
Sakura admitted that she often questions her decision to pursue a career as an idol and reflects on whether it is the right path for her. She expressed, “I’m not sure why I chose to become an idol. Is it really the best choice for me? I don’t necessarily regret it, but at times, I can’t help but wonder if there are others more suited for this job who could have done it better than me.”

Despite her receiving hate comments, Sakura still maintains that this is the job that brings her the most joy. She admits that she used to have a more positive view of herself, but the negative thoughts were triggered by the hurtful comments she received.
Despite what others may say, this job is the only one that brings me joy and fulfillment. However, at times, I have questioned if it was truly the right fit for me, doubting my abilities and talents. Although I did not originally have these thoughts, hearing negative feedback from others has occasionally caused me to doubt myself.
As she wept, the idol wondered aloud, “Why is it that I always have such a difficult time? Why must I shed so many tears? What is driving me to go this far? What is my ultimate goal?”
Although she had expressed her unfiltered thoughts and cried, the idol returned to the practice room.
As the video of this incident circulated on social media, Korean netizens shared their sadness at witnessing Sakura’s tears. They argued that the criticisms she receives are unjustified and often unkind. Numerous individuals expressed sympathy for the idol and wished for her to find resilience.
Despite the criticism from some, HYBE’s decision to include the controversial scene in the documentary was defended by K-netz, who argued that it was not their place to judge Sakura. They also emphasized that the documentary was intended for fans to enjoy.
Among the comments left by Korean netizens were,
- “LE SSERAFIM’s haters are going too far with the forced hate in the comments. It’s scary.”
- “I feel bad for Sakura…”
- “Why are there so many people that think they have the right to judge someone else’s life?”
- “Find strength, and I hope she continues to work hard. Dancing has indeed become a priority among idols nowadays. However, LE SSERAFIM has already accumulated years of experience and faced significant challenges, not just as individuals but as a group. Continuing down this path could risk their success of theirs. While avoiding issues is one way to cope, the fact that they are trying to find and confront their issues makes me excited for them. Cheer up, LE SSERAFIM!”
- “Stray strong, Sakura.”
- “I find it weird that the company is resorting to these tactics…”
- “HYBE needs to stop using this kind of marketing tactics.”
- “I feel like the hate the LE SSERAFIM members are getting at this point is all unwarranted. I feel so bad for everyone on the team.”
- “The comments are so mean…”
- “This is a documentary made for their fans, so why are people judging her entire life based on this one clip?”
