Huh Yunjin has recently become a hot topic in various online forums, as fans voiced their displeasure regarding her song suggestion.

On October 8, a post surfaced on a popular Korean platform, titled, “LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin Criticized by I-Roaches for Her FIFTY FIFTY Recommendation.”This thread included a screenshot capturing a fan seeking song recommendations via Weverse.

In response, Yunjin recommended the track “Gravity,”which appears on FIFTY FIFTY’s second mini album titled “LOVE TUNE.”

In the wake of her suggestion, a user on X (previously Twitter) commented on the controversy, indicating that international fans criticized Yunjin’s song choice. The post also mentioned support for “3Jeong,”the trio of members who initially formed FIFTY FIFTY.

To offer some background, Aran, Sio, and Saena departed from FIFTY FIFTY amid conflicts with their agency, ATTRAKT, along with allegations of mistreatment. This situation has led to fragmented fan allegiances, as some K-netizens appear to support the newly re-debuted FIFTY FIFTY, while a segment of international fans remains loyal to the original group.

“I hope FEARNOTs on Weverse can enlighten her about the circumstances she might not be aware of. Forget HYBE and ATTRAKT, let’s boycott FIFTY FIFTY and support 3Jeong!”

The poster further stated:

“They are even urging other idols who support the new FIFTY FIFTY to join the boycott.”

  • “Boycotting FIFTY FIFTY seems random.”
  • “What’s the big deal? ‘Gravity’ is a brilliant song.”
  • “How about boycotting K-pop entirely instead, you I-roaches?”
  • “Many international fans are just following along without understanding why they should hate; they just do it because they’re told to.”
  • “It’s evident that I-roaches see themselves as justice warriors.”
  • “These girls deserve better support.”
  • “Educate? Let’s erase that term from the minds of misguided I-leaches, they’ve lost perspective.”
  • “It feels like some I-fans are experiencing collective confusion.”
