LE SSERAFIM’s New Album Bombarded with 1-Star Ratings on Melon

LE SSERAFIM has officially released their fourth mini-album, titled “Crazy,”along with the music video for the title track. The group’s highly anticipated comeback after their performance at Coachella has caught the attention of K-pop fans. This release is seen as a pivotal project for LE SSERAFIM to prove their ability to redeem their reputation following the controversy that arose during their performance at the world’s biggest music festival. However, there is concern among fans as the album has consistently been receiving low ratings, ranging from 0.5 to 1 star, on Melon.

Despite only being released one day ago, the album “CRAZY”has already received an impressive score of 3.7, based on over 5,000 ratings. In comparison, LE SSERAFIM’s previous album “EASY”earned a slightly higher score of 4.2, but with fewer ratings at 2,800.

The song ‘CRAZY’ by LE SSERAFIM features a primarily electronic sound, with Chaewon and Huh Yunjin leading the vocals. Sakura, Kazuha, and Eunchae also add rap verses to the track.

Despite being recognized as a standout track, Pierrot has faced criticism for Eunchae’s solo lines and her rap skills. As a result, concerns have been raised about the group’s ability to deliver strong live performances. While they have potential, it may be necessary for LE SSERAFIM to undergo further refinement in order to establish a successful and lasting career.

On August 29th, in contrast, LE SSERAFIM held a showcase in the afternoon to introduce their fourth mini-album “Crazy.”Throughout the event, the HYBE girl group discussed their comeback, upcoming plans, and showcased their latest tracks. Particularly noteworthy, LE SSERAFIM openly addressed all recent controversies, including their criticized performance at Coachella 2024, putting an end to any further speculation.

The performance of LE SSERAFIM at the world’s biggest music festival was unforgettable, thanks to their exceptional live singing abilities. However, their reputation was tarnished as they faced severe criticism and were labeled as the “shame of South Korea.”As a result, their upcoming comeback holds immense significance in gauging the public’s reaction and determining if they can redeem their image.
