Recent leaks surrounding League of Legends have unveiled exciting developments for the upcoming Battle Pass in 2025. Players can look forward to acquiring a greater number of skins at a significantly reduced cost.
The introduction of the Sanctum and the increasing dominance of gacha mechanics have left many long-term players feeling frustrated. For in-game purchases, it often required upwards of $200 to obtain a skin for a preferred champion, leading to widespread discontent.
Fortunately, as we await the arrival of patch 15.1 in 2025, a transformative shift is on the horizon. The revamped Battle Pass system is set to minimize the focus on random loot, allowing players to enjoy guaranteed rewards as they engage with the new features.
Significant Changes to the League of Legends Battle Pass in 2025
The current Event Pass format is poised for a dramatic overhaul, transitioning to a more conventional Battle Pass model characterized by superior rewards. Under this new system, players who purchase the Battle Pass will secure skins simply by completing various milestones within the pass. Notably, players can also earn at least one skin through the free track.

This anticipated Battle Pass will feature five premium skins. The cost for the base pass remains unchanged at 1650 RP, allowing players to unlock all five skins through dedicated gameplay. Previously, players faced separate purchases for the Event Pass and skins, typically priced at 1350 RP each. This new system presents a more economical solution for those already intending to buy these skins.
While specific details about the full rewards track are yet to be confirmed, it remains uncertain whether loot orbs and grab bags will continue to be available as they were in earlier Event Passes. Nevertheless, the latest leaks suggest that players will receive three Ancient Sparks, which can be utilized for skin rolls in The Sanctum.
It’s essential to approach this information with caution, as these details are subject to modification before the final patch release. However, even with potential adjustments in pass pricing or rewards, players can expect significantly enhanced value compared to previous Event Pass iterations.
