Overview of League of Legends Patch 14.24

Map Updates

The “Season of Noxus”is officially upon us, bringing a fresh aesthetic and substantial functional updates to Summoner’s Rift.

Introducing Atakhan, Bringer of Ruin

Atakhan

On the 20-minute mark, Atakhan will spawn on the side of the map that has experienced the most kills or deaths by the 14-minute mark. In the absence of kills, he’ll appear based on which side has taken the most damage.

Atakhan brings along an arena that alters the map’s terrain, while also dropping Blood Roses that provide permanent power boosts and XP for your team. There are two distinct variants of Atakhan, each offering unique abilities and buffs upon defeat:

  • Ruinous Atakhan: Appears in high-kill scenarios, granting bonus Bloody Petals to the team that secures the final hit and increasing the number of Roses in the area for additional Petals.
  • Voracious Atakhan: Spawns in slower-paced matches, posing a greater immediate threat. His buffs are outlined below:
    • False Life: For 180 seconds, if you would die, you enter Stasis for 5.5 seconds and teleport to your base, while the opponent earns 1 Bloody Petal and 100 Gold.
    • Your team gains a permanent bonus of 40 gold for each champion takedown, making teamwork vital.

Atakhan will only appear once per game, but additional Blood Roses will regenerate over time, frequently showing up on the sites of champion fatalities.
