League of Legends is entering its 2025 season with challenges, prompting developers to swiftly address map mechanics and implement hotfixes. The upcoming Patch 2025.S1.2 focuses on balancing the significant elements of this new season while introducing a highly anticipated champion, Mel Medarda.
Mel, a character from the popular series Arcane, seamlessly transitions to the game, following the legacy of her mother. As this patch unfolds, players are eager to see how her arrival and the balance changes will impact gameplay.
Details are still emerging about the specific adjustments that will occur in the patch, but there are confirmed updates regarding buffs and nerfs. While some champions have already received early adjustments through hotfixes, several more changes are slated for the near future.
Patch 2025.S1.2: Key Updates
Adjustments to Atakhan and Feats of Strength
While specific changes are still under wraps, it has been revealed that the spawn frequency of Voracious Atakhan will increase, and the potency of Blood Roses will see a reduction. Developer Phroxzon noted:
- “We aim to make Voracious Atakhan more prevalent, as he appears in less than 15% of games. However, we will tone down his power since his effects are proving to be more game-changing than intended.”
Additionally, the development team is looking to remove first blood from the Feats of Strength criterion to elevate the difficulty of these objectives and prevent reliance on early game imbalances. This modification, however, will not be included in the current patch.
