<p>The highly anticipated Season 1 update of Marvel Rivals introduces beloved characters from the Fantastic Four, including Invisible Woman, Human Torch, The Thing, and Mister Fantastic, all available as playable heroes. Among these, Mister Fantastic may resonate particularly well with players familiar with League of Legends.
One persistent challenge in this free-to-play hero shooter is the underrepresentation of tank characters, as players often gravitate toward powerful Duelists. However, the developers appear to have drawn inspiration from Riot Games’ acclaimed MOBA, aiming to shift player preferences.
Introducing a New Playstyle: Mister Fantastic
Mister Fantastic brings a fresh dynamic to Marvel Rivals as the game’s inaugural tank/DPS hybrid. This character is designed to encourage players to explore more Vanguard options, enhancing overall team composition.
With his unique ability set, Mister Fantastic can utilize his flexible limbs to engage mid-range foes, delivering impactful attacks from a distance. Notably, he can also execute devastating moves by slamming enemies together, resulting in formidable knockouts.
His ultimate ability transforms him into a colossal, amorphous ball with massive fists, allowing him to launch into the air and crash down on anything in his path. Additionally, his elastic arms grant him the capacity to snag enemy heroes, pulling them in for a swift takedown.
Mister Fantastic’s abilities bear a striking resemblance to those of Zac, the popular champion from League of Legends. Like Mister Fantastic, Zac serves as a hybrid champion, effectively filling roles such as top, support, and jungler, thanks to his versatile skill set. This adaptability allows him to function as either a tank or a damage dealer, depending on team needs.
The tactical advantage of being able to grapple opponents and slam them together while simultaneously launching yourself into vulnerable enemy positions makes Mister Fantastic an appealing choice for players feeling overwhelmed by dominating Duelists. If you have enjoyed Zac’s unique playstyle or are looking for a change, keep an eye out for the arrival of Mister Fantastic with the launch of Marvel Rivals Season 1 on January 10.
