Leaks claim Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 will be first to launch

Recent leaks from Nvidia suggest that the RTX 5080 may be the initial release, contradicting earlier reports.

The excitement surrounding Nvidia’s RTX 50 series is reaching its peak, as several leakers are revealing alleged insider information. However, not all of this information should be taken as fact. A recent report has caused a stir and prompted renowned Nvidia leaker Kopite7Kimi to dispute certain claims.

Kopite7Kimi has established himself as a highly dependable source for insider information on Nvidia. In the past, he has made accurate predictions about the specifications and release date of the RTX 40 Super refresh. Now, he has shifted his focus to the highly anticipated RTX 50 ‘Blackwell’ series.

According to Kopite7Kimi, a well-known industry insider, Moore’s Law is Dead, the RTX 5090 will be the sole release in the RTX 50 series in 2024. Despite Moore’s Law is Dead being a reputable leaker with a history of accurate information, Kopite7Kimi has cast doubt on this claim.

Despite many people anticipating the RTX 5090 to be the first to enter the market and surpass the powerful RTX 4090, which currently holds the top spot for graphic card performance, Kopite7Kimi has contested this belief by stating that the GeForce RTX 5080 will actually be the first to hit the market.

Additionally, Kopite7Kimi stated that the release of the RTX 5090 would closely follow the launch of the RTX 5080, and the remaining models of the series will become available in 2025.

According to an anonymous insider, the RTX 5090 is expected to be officially announced at Computex, and Nvidia’s board partners have indicated that at least one 50 series launch will occur in 2025. It is possible that Nvidia will unveil all of their plans at Computex, which is scheduled to begin on June 4, 2024. Until then, any unconfirmed details should be treated with caution.
