Lee Da-Hae and SE7EN’s Excursion to Macau: Love, Family Aspirations, and Challenges
On the November 20 episode of Channel A’s Trendy Men’s Lifestyle, famed couple Lee Da-Hae and SE7EN took a romantic trip to Macau. Their visit coincided with the prestigious Macau International Film Festival, where Lee Da-Hae impressed audiences with her fluent Chinese as she introduced SE7EN and promoted his performance at the event, showcasing her support and dedication to him.
After their engagement at the festival, Lee Da-Hae and SE7EN enjoyed a few peaceful moments together exploring Macau. Reflecting on their relationship, Lee Da-Hae revealed SE7EN’s natural tendency to care for her, stating, “Even when we were dating, he always served food onto my plate. At first, I thought he was trying to impress me, but I realized it’s a habit from growing up in a big family.”
During their heartfelt conversation, the couple touched upon future family plans. Lee Da-Hae expressed her fondness for larger families, saying, “I think having siblings and being part of a big family is nice.” SE7EN humorously interjected, “Then how are we supposed to have a big family? Do we need to have five kids?” To which Lee Da-Hae replied, “If it happens, we’ll do our best. If not, we’re happy as we are.”
SE7EN shared his vision of parenthood, “I’d love to have a beautiful daughter who looks like you.” Lee Da-Hae, with a smile, expressed her hopes for their future children by saying, “Actually, I hope they look like you,” revealing their admiration for one another in a tender moment.
However, both acknowledged the challenges of starting a family amidst their busy careers. Lee Da-Hae candidly mentioned, “As we discussed yesterday, we’re so busy with work that it’s hard to focus on starting a family. I need to wrap up some of my commitments.” SE7EN added, “No one knows how hard you work, staying up all night studying, taking Chinese lessons five times a week, and traveling abroad constantly.”
In an emotional revelation, Lee Da-Hae opened up about her challenges while working overseas, saying, “Sometimes, when I’m working abroad, I feel like crying like a child. But I’m so grateful when you support and cheer me on,” as tears welled in her eyes.
She further elaborated, “When I’m abroad, I’m often the only Korean there. Everyone treats me so well, but sometimes I just want to speak Korean. We’re still newlyweds, but it’s hard not being able to spend time together.” SE7EN was quick to comfort her, replying, “It’s not hard for me. What you’re achieving right now is truly amazing.”
