Lee Da-hae also took the opportunity to share a heartfelt story about her unique journey into the entertainment industry. She reminisced about relocating to Australia with her family in her early years. “When I returned to Korea for a brief time during high school, my relatives remarked, ‘You’ve grown up so beautifully,’” she recalled.

Her interest in performing arts blossomed early, as she participated in the KBS children’s musical choir and practiced traditional Korean dance. While KBS was hosting the Miss Chunhyang pageant, she submitted a photograph of herself in her aunt’s hanbok, aiming to win the award designated for overseas Koreans.

“I wanted to use the prize money for my return ticket to Australia and complete my studies,” she said. “However, I ended up winning the grand prize, which ignited my aspiration of becoming an entertainer. Following high school, I bravely moved to Korea alone, staying with friends while auditioning until I was cast in ‘Lotus Flower Fairy,’” she recounted, sharing the inspiring details of her debut.
